I’m going to share one of my original songs inspired by Dream of the Red Chamber and its beautiful poetry. The poem speaks of spring, the movement of the wind, and the desire to rise with the strength of a favorable wind.
I composed my own melody for these words and turned the poetry into a song. Now I’d like to play it for you on the piano.
In this ethereal interpretation, the drifting willow catkins come alive through voice and music — soft yet unyielding, delicate yet full of quiet strength. Floating freely with the spring wind, the willow catkins become a beautiful symbol of freedom, resilience, grace, and the fleeting beauty of youth.
《红楼梦》中薛宝钗的《临江仙·柳絮》,由春天了(Chuntianle)原创谱曲并演唱。 I created my own melody for this classical Chinese poem, transforming its imagery and emotion into an original song. Through the music, I hope to capture the lightness of willow catkins dancing in the wind, while also expressing the deeper feeling behind the poem — the ability to remain true to oneself while adapting to the changes of life.
